Team leads propose, management publishes.
One schedule per site, templates, a copy of last week or automatic generation. PIN clock-in on a tablet, tips prorated by hours, pre-payroll with estimated net pay, ready for export.
The schedule
Multi-site. Week templates, a copy of last week, automatic generation from availability. The coverage of every slot reads at a glance.
Requests and swaps
Leave, availability, shift swaps between colleagues. The employee asks, the lead decides. Nobody approves their own request.
Tasks and sections
Patio, bar, counter: every shift belongs to a section. Tasks per shift, opening and closing checklists, signed.
The monthly report
Hours worked, overtime, tips, labour cost. Accounting picks up labour from the schedule in its expenses.
A tablet on the wall, one PIN per person.
The section tablet is activated with a code and never shows a price. People clock in, break and clock out with their PIN. Clocked hours replace scheduled hours in pre-payroll and in the tip split.
- Tiered lockout: five failed PIN attempts, thirty seconds of waiting, and the rest of the team keeps clocking in.
- The same tablet serves as the section station: production, hygiene, inventory, kitchen screen, depending on what you turn on.
One pool per day, one rule per team.
The tip left on the terminal or offered at the register joins the day’s pool. Off-register tips are added to it. The split rule is yours, and the server applies it to clocked hours.
- Prorated by hours, equal shares or by hand, with exclusions by person or by role.
- Paid out directly or added to payroll, as the business chooses.
Prorated by hours
The most common rule: each person’s share follows their clocked hours in the day.
Equal shares
The same share for the whole team on the service, whatever the length of the shift.
By hand
Management splits it themselves, and the split stays traced.
Exclusions
A person or a role taken out of the pool, management for instance.
From clocked hours to the payroll file.
Yoseri does not pay wages. It prepares what your payroll software expects, and makes it readable by everyone before payday.
The hours
Clocked on the tablet, compared with the published schedule. Variances show before the period closes.
Pre-payroll
Hourly rate, night premiums, overtime beyond 40 hours, statutory holidays, tips to pay out, benefits.
Estimated net pay
Each employee sees their own in their space. Other people’s rates and wages are hidden by the server.
The CSV export
A generic file for your payroll. Pay stubs produced elsewhere are then uploaded to the employee space.
Quebec labour standards, in the schedule.
The country and province chosen at sign-up set the labour rules. For Québec, the schedule carries the standards that matter when placing a shift.
Rest and notice
Rest between two shifts and notice of a schedule change, visible when a lead moves a shift.
Minors and night premiums
Shifts of employees who are minors, and night hours that earn a premium.
Minimum wage, overtime, holidays
The minimum wage in force, overtime beyond 40 hours, statutory holidays and their indemnity.
Questions about scheduling and pay
Who publishes the schedule?
A team lead builds the week for their section from a template, a copy of last week or automatic generation. Management publishes, and the schedule then appears in everyone’s employee space.
How does clock-in work?
On a section tablet activated by a code, each person clocks in with their PIN. After five failed attempts, the tablet locks for thirty seconds, without blocking the rest of the team. Clocked hours feed pre-payroll and the tip split.
How are tips split?
The day’s pool brings together the register, the terminal and off-register tips. You pick the rule: prorated by clocked hours, equal shares or by hand, with exclusions. Tips are paid out directly or added to payroll. Everyone sees their own; other people’s require the “see pay” capability.
Does Yoseri run payroll?
No. Yoseri prepares payroll: hours, premiums, overtime, tips and estimated net pay, then a generic CSV export to your payroll software or provider. There is no Nethris-specific template. Pre-payroll is part of Yoseri Business, not Discovery.
Which labour rules are taken into account?
Those of the country and province chosen at sign-up. For Québec: rest, notice, minors, night premiums, minimum wage, overtime beyond 40 hours and statutory holidays.
