Sales and trade customers

The quote accepted online. The order delivered every Tuesday.

A pipeline for selling to businesses, and trade customer accounts for serving them afterwards: discount, negotiated prices, cut-off time, standing orders by day of the week, automatic invoices.

Kanban pipeline

Deals move from column to column. Contacts, activities and follow-ups hang off them.

Quotes accepted online

A /devis/ link, one click to accept, one date.

Sequences

A string of emails and tasks that unfolds at its own pace, per contact, until the reply.

Teams and commissions

Sales teams, reports, commissions per person. The amounts stay with those who have the capability.

Trade customers

The café, the hotel, the grocer: each with its own terms.

A trade customer has its discount, its negotiated prices, its delivery day and its order cut-off time. Its standing orders repeat by day of the week and enter the morning’s production. The invoice generates itself.

  • Discount and negotiated prices: set once on the record, carried onto every order and every invoice.
  • Delivery and cut-off time: past the hour, the order is for the next day. The delivery vehicle is managed in Equipment.
  • Standing orders: by day of the week, editable, paused for a week without losing anything.
  • Automatic invoices: generated from deliveries, waiting in “invoices to send”, payable by link.
Caterers, trades, services

The quote, then the job.

A caterer prices a wedding, a cabinetmaker a kitchen. The quote goes out by link, comes back accepted, and the deal moves on to production, the project or the supplier order.

  • The quote counts in purchasing: automatic ordering is computed from sales, production, quotes and stock.
  • Projects and signatures: tasks, timesheets, documents, electronic signature with public verification.
  • Invoices and recurring invoices: accounting picks up the quote, invoices, follows up, and tracks payment by link.
What we say before you sign

The trade customer portal is not here yet.

Your trade customers do not yet order on their own from a portal: it is in the works. Today, your team enters the order, and the standing order does the rest.

Entered by your team

At the till, as a “for later” order, or in the Sales app. With the trade reminder when the order is coming up.

Standing, so rarely entered

The order that comes back every Tuesday needs no entry at all. Only the exception gets typed.

Figures for the right people

Amounts on quotes, purchase orders and invoices: the “see figures” capability. Commissions: “see pay”. Otherwise, absent.

Questions about sales and trade customers

How does a customer accept a quote?

They get a /devis/ link followed by a token, read the quote and accept it online, with no account. The acceptance is dated and attached to the deal in the pipeline.

What is a standing order?

An order that repeats by day of the week: twenty baguettes and ten croissants every Tuesday and Friday for the café around the corner. It enters the day’s production without anyone keying it in again. You edit it, or pause it for a week.

Do trade customers’ invoices go out on their own?

They are generated automatically from deliveries, with the customer’s discount and negotiated prices. They wait in “invoices to send” long enough for a glance, then go out by email, payable by link through Stripe Connect. Accounting follows them through to payment.

Can trade customers place orders themselves?

The ordering portal for trade customers is in the works. Today, the order is entered by your team, at the till or in the Sales app, with the customer’s cut-off time and delivery day.

Who sees the amounts on quotes and commissions?

Anyone with the “see figures” capability for quotes, purchase orders and invoices; anyone with “see pay” for each person’s commissions. Everyone else opens the same screens with the amounts absent, never zero.
