Human resources and employee space

A team, its leave, its documents, and its own portal.

Leave calculated by jurisdiction, reviews, documents to read with a “read and understood” acknowledgement, uploaded pay stubs. And for every employee, staff.yoseri.com: schedule, pay, tips, shift swaps, without ever entering the console.

Québec leave: May 1, 4% or 6%“Read and understood” per versionPolicies for 95 jurisdictions13 roles, 9 capabilities, 3 views

The team

Each person, their role, their shops. Invite, change a role, deactivate: the “manage the team” capability, which never touches an owner.

Leave

Balances kept by the server according to the jurisdiction. Québec: year starting May 1, 4% or 6%. The request enters the “to handle” queue, the lead decides.

Reviews

A dated review per person, its notes, its follow-up, reserved for whoever has the capability to manage the team.

Documents

Targeted by person, role or shop, with a “read and understood” acknowledgement per version. Policy templates for 95 jurisdictions. Pay stub upload.

The employee portal

staff.yoseri.com: what concerns them, nothing else.

Yoseri Team is a separate app, on their phone. The employee finds their published schedule, their estimated net pay, their tips, their benefits, the documents to read, the day’s checklists, their leave requests and their shift swaps.

  • Schedule and shift swaps: they offer a swap to a colleague, the lead approves.
  • Pay and tips: the period’s estimated net pay, approved tips, uploaded pay stubs.
  • Documents to read: every versioned policy waits for its “read and understood” acknowledgement.
  • The shop tablet (/poste): PIN clock-in, production, hygiene, inventory, kitchen screen.
The link with the personal app

Net pay in their budget, if they want it.

An employee who uses the personal Yoseri app can link their employee space to their budget. The link is optional and requires their consent. Only net pay and approved tips go through; nothing else leaves the business.

  • What goes through: net pay and approved tips, so their personal budget expects them on the right day.
  • What does not: the schedule, the documents, the reviews, the business’s figures.

Optional link

The employee asks for it themselves. The business cannot impose it.

Explicit consent

Nothing flows before they have accepted, and they see what flows.

Roles, capabilities, views

Thirteen ready-made roles, nine sensitive actions, three ways to read the console.

The owner has every right, and none can be removed. Everyone else gets a ready-made or custom role, with exceptions per person. A manager can be limited to their shops.

13 ready-made roles

Manager, Team lead, Employee, Cashier, Accountant, HR, Marketing, Sales, Support, Buyer, Head of production, Analyst, Read-only.

9 capabilities checked by the server

Approve requests (never your own), manage the register, adjust stock, see figures, see pay, manage the team, change settings, export, see health files.

Management, Lead, Team. They change the wording and the explanations, never the rights: “the employee asks, the lead decides”.

What the server keeps

Wages hidden, not set to zero.

Someone without the “see pay” capability opens the same team screen: hourly rates and amounts are simply absent. Data is partitioned by business from the database session onward, and hosted in Canada.

The request

Leave, an expense claim, a shift swap: the employee files it from their space.

The decision

The lead sees it in the “to handle” queue. If they wrote it, the server refuses to let them decide it.

The trace

Who asked, who decided, when. Documents keep the version and the date of the acknowledgement.

Not there yet: CSV import of employees. And pre-payroll, which calculates estimated net pay, is part of Yoseri Business, not the Discovery plan.

Questions about the team and the employee space

How is leave calculated?

According to the jurisdiction set at sign-up. In Québec, the reference year starts on May 1 and the indemnity is 4% or 6%. Balances are kept by the server; the request enters the “to handle” queue, and the lead decides. Nobody approves their own.

Does an employee need an account in the console?

No. They use staff.yoseri.com, the Yoseri Team app: schedule, pay, tips, benefits, documents, shift swaps, leave. At the shop, the section tablet is used for clock-in. With Yoseri Business, an employee active in the month costs $5.99.

What does an employee see, and what do they not see?

Their schedule, their estimated net pay, their approved tips, their pay stubs, the documents meant for them. Other people’s hourly rates, wages and tips require the “see pay” capability: they are hidden by the server, absent from the response and not set to zero.

What is the “read and understood” acknowledgement for?

Every targeted document carries a version. The employee confirms they have read and understood it; a new version asks for the acknowledgement again. Policy templates exist for 95 jurisdictions.

Can the team be imported from CSV?

Not yet. Team members are invited one by one, with their role, from the Team screen. The “manage the team” capability lets you invite, change a role and deactivate, never an owner.

Invite the team. Everyone gets their own space.
